Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 29.09.2026.

GoCzechGuru aims to make Czech-language learning accessible and usable across different devices, browsers and learning needs.

1. Our Commitment

GoCzechGuru is committed to providing an inclusive online learning experience. We work to make our website, student area and learning materials clear, understandable and usable by as many people as reasonably possible.

โ€‹

We aim to follow recognised accessibility principles and work toward alignment with WCAG 2.2 Level AA where practical.

2. Accessibility Features

We are developing GoCzechGuru with attention to:

  • clear headings and logical page structure;

  • readable typography and sufficient text size;

  • responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile devices;

  • keyboard-accessible navigation where supported;

  • meaningful button and link labels;

  • sufficient visual contrast;

  • captions, transcripts or text alternatives where appropriate;

  • audio controls that can be operated by the learner;

  • multilingual learning support in Hindi, Bangla and English.

3. Learning Materials

GoCzechGuru includes interactive lessons containing text, audio, exercises, vocabulary, grammar, listening, speaking and other learning activities.

  • We aim to provide important learning information in more than one form where reasonably possible, so that learners are not dependent on only audio, colour or visual presentation to understand essential content.

4. Audio and Pronunciation

Some lessons include Czech pronunciation and listening material.

โ€‹

We are working toward consistent audio playback across commonly used desktop, mobile and tablet devices. Where audio is essential to an exercise, supporting written content is provided wherever practical.

  • This wording is especially appropriate because we are still improving the TTS/audio architecture rather than claiming perfect cross-device support already.

5. Responsive and Mobile Access

GoCzechGuru is designed for use on modern desktop computers, tablets and smartphones.

โ€‹

We regularly review layouts at different screen sizes to reduce problems such as clipped text, overlapping sections, inaccessible controls or horizontal scrolling.

6. Known Limitations

GoCzechGuru is under active development, and some pages or interactive learning components may not yet meet every accessibility requirement in all browsers, devices or assistive technologies.

โ€‹

We continue to review and improve these areas as the platform develops.

7. Need Help?

If you experience an accessibility problem or are unable to access part of GoCzechGuru, please contact us and describe:

  • the page or lesson involved;

  • the problem you encountered;

  • the device and browser you were using, where possible.

We will try to provide the information or learning material in an alternative accessible form where reasonably possible.

8. Feedback

Accessibility improvements are an ongoing part of the development of GoCzechGuru.

We welcome feedback from learners about barriers that make the website, student dashboard or lesson content difficult to use.
